Indian Electronic visas
Can be applied a minimum of 4 working days before your entry date. To avoid any delays, we would need to receive all of your India documentation at least 8 business days before travel. 

Indian physical visas
Processing takes a minimum of 3 business days to issue in the embassy from the appointment date. Please note that an appointment is needed for us to submit your documents (which we book when your documents are received). The appointment system may have delays of up to 2 weeks before an appointment is available. We would advise that you send us your documents at least 2 weeks before you are due to travel.

Indian Electronic visa Q&As

An Indian electronic visa is applied online and the decision is emailed back to us from Immigration. If you have been successful, we will email or post your approval to you. You must print the approval and take it to India with you. No stamp is placed in your passport for this visa until you arrive in India. You will be directed to give your fingerprints on arrival.

Our charge for the full service includes creating your online application, resizing and reformatting your photo and passport ID, making the online payment and returning the decision to you via email. We can do a partial service if you prefer to complete the Indian online application yourself. 

Who can apply for the Indian online visa?
Only nationals of the following countries are eligible for the electronic visa. If your nationality is not listed, you must apply for the full physical visa. This includes British passports that do not contain ‘United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland’ on the ID page.

What ports of entry support the Indian electronic visa?
Only certain Indian entry ports support the Indian electronic visa. If the port of your entry into India is not listed below, you will need to apply for the physical visa.

When should I apply for the Indian electronic visa?
Those applying for a 30-day electronic Indian visa can only apply within 30 days of arrival for your visa to be valid. All other validities can be applied for 120 days before travel.
Whichever validity you choose, your application can only be registered on the Indian visa system at least 4 business days before you are due to enter India. As the Indian electronic system can go down and because of the high volume of requests, we only accept orders a minimum of 8 business days before entry.

Do I have to post my Indian electronic visa documents?  
No, all documents can either be emailed or posted to us for the Indian electronic visa.

Do I have to send you my passport?
No, we only need a copy of the ID page of your passport.

What size should my photo be?
We resize and reformat your photo and passport ID page for you so you can send any size photo. Remember though that this is for immigration – photos should be in colour, head and shoulders and on a plain background. Note that it cannot be the same picture that you have used in your passport. Passport ID pages can be colour or black and white. It can be provided as a photo or scan of the page (the one that shows your picture).

Can I get a visa on arrival?
No, you must have your approval in place before you arrive. You will not be permitted to board your flight/ship without a valid approval.

I do not live in the UK, can you still do my Indian electronic visa?
Yes, as this visa is issued based on your nationality, we can apply for everyone regardless of where you reside.

I have Pakistani heritage, can I still apply for the Indian electronic visa?
Yes but you are most likely going to face a refusal. You are better off applying for the Full/physical Indian visa in person.

The following nationals DO NOT require a visa for India: India Bhutan, Nepal & Maldives.

This visa is typically applied for if you are not eligible for an electronic visa either because of your nationality or the port of entry. 

Our charge for the physical Indian visa includes checking your Indian visa documents, booking your appointment at the Indian visa application centre, attending your appointment at the Indian visa application centre on your behalf to submit your visa application documents to the embassy as well as to collect the passport from the embassy once your Indian visa is released. Our fees are inclusive of VAT but does not include your chosen method of return postage. 

The embassy uses the VFS application centre to oversee all of their visa submissions and collections. An appointment is required before any document can be submitted. We book and attend the appointment for you, so you are not required to attend. 
Our charge for the full visa service includes checking your Indian visa documents, creating your application form online, booking your appointment at the Indian visa application centre in London, online payment for your visa, attending your appointment at the Indian visa application centre on your behalf to submit your visa application documents to the embassy as well as to collect the passport once your Indian visa is released. Your passport with your Indian visa will then be mailed via your chosen option. 


Who can apply for the full Indian visa?
All nationals with UK residency can apply through our service. Those who do not have UK residency must apply in their resident country. The India High Commission in the UK will request evidence of UK residency for the past 2 years. Should you not have been resident for the 2 years, your visa will be referred back to your national country and can take a longer time to process.

What size should my photo be?
The India High Commission in the UK will only accept visa size photos (5cm x 5cm). Should you provide passport photos, they will be rejected. We can resize your photos for you but you will be charged an additional £10.00 for this service.

When can I apply for the full Indian visa?
You can apply up to 3 months before you are due to arrive in India.

Can I get an Indian visa on arrival?
No, you must have your visa in your passport before you arrive. You will not be permitted to board your flight/ship without a valid visa.

I need a longer validity or visa type that you do not list, can you still assist?
Unfortunately, agencies can not apply for Indian visas with more than a 2 year validity, OCI or Employment visas as they must be applied for in person. The Indian High Commission will require fingerprints at the application centre for these visa types.

Do I need to send my passport for the physical Indian visa?
Yes, a visa sticker is placed inside your passport by the High Commission of India.

Recommended vaccinations for travel to India

Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving within 6 days from an infected area or have been in transit in an infected area (except those who while in transit through an airport in an infected area, remained within the airport during the period of their entire stay) or has come on a ship that started or disembarked at any port in an infected area up to 30 days before arrival in India (unless it has been disinsected) or has come on an aircraft which has been in an infected area and has not been disinsected. Infants under 6 months are exempt. When a case of yellow fever is reported from any country, that country is regarded as infected.
Recommended immunisations: Cholera, Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Japanese B Encephalitis, Malaria, Meningitis, Polio, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.
Risks: Malaria exists all year below 2,000 metres except in parts of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Kashmir and Sikkim. Rabies.
