Citizens of the following countries do not require a visa to visit Vietnam:

For a maximum stay of 30 Days:
Cambodia, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

For a maximum stay of 21 Days:

For a maximum stay of 14 Days: Brunei and Myanmar. 

For a period of up to 15 days: (single entry, not returning within 30 days), British, French, German, Italian, Spanish citizens travelling to Viet Nam (for all purposes) up to the 30th June 2018.

Validity of Vietnam visas are restricted to the time applied for on your application. Please be extremely careful when inserting dates ensuring that they are correct for your time of travel.

15 day visa exemption (applicable to British, French, German, Italian and Spanish nationalks only) expires on the 15th of June 2018. All applicants travelling after this date or for more than 15 days will require a visa.

Required by all except those continuing their journey on the same day and provided holding confirmed return or onward tickets. Leaving the airport transit area is not allowed.

Certain international flights operated by Vietnam Airlines with final destinations of Hanoi (HAN) or Ho Chi Ming City (SGN) make an intermediate stop in Vietnam before arrival at the final destination, where it is required to clear customs and change aircraft. In these cases entry requirements into Vietnam will need to be observed at the intermediate stop 


Compulsory vaccinations:Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas. Infants under 1 year are exempt.

Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Japanese B Encephalitis, Malaria, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.

Risks: Malaria exists throughout the country, excluding urban centres, the Red River delta and the coastal plain areas of central Vietnam. Risk is highest in highland areas below 1,500 metres south of 18°N, particularly in the provinces of Dak Lak, Gia Lai & Kon Tum, and southern provinces of Ca Mau, Bac Lieu & Tay Ninh. Rabies. 


The rainy season is from May-Aug in the north but lasts until Nov in the south. Average temperatures are about 25°C all year.

Hints in Vietnam: It is useful for business cards to have a translation in Vietnamese script on the reverse side. Business is conducted in Vietnamese or English. Many executives speak English. Often both hands are used to give or receive an item. There are restrictions on photography in certain areas
