SURINAME VISAS:

Citizens of the following countries and territories do not require a tourist visa to enter Suriname for up to 90 days:
Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bonaire, Brazil, Curacao, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Hong Kong, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Montserrat, Philippians,  Saba, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Eustatius, Saint Maarten and Trinidad and Tobago. 

Citizens of the following countries do not require a tourist visa to enter Suriname for up to 30 days:
Malaysia and the Republic of Korea.

Citizens of the following countries are granted a visa on arrival (tourist card) at Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport (or alternatively at any Surinamese representation abroad or at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol):
Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay and Venezuela. 

Visa on arrival for visitors arriving from a country without Suriname representation can be issued for a maximum stay of 2 months, provided holding pre-arranged approval.

SURINAME TRANSIT VISAS:

Required by all except those as noted above. There is no hotel facility, its advised to obtain a transit visa prior to travel.

SURINAME HEALTH:

Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas.

Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Malaria, TB, Tetanus, Typhoid & Yellow Fever.

Risks: Malaria risk is high all year in southern districts. In Paramaribo City and coastal areas risk is little or none. Rabies.

SURINAME WEATHER:

There are two rain seasons, the main one is from Apr-Jul and the weaker one is between Dec-Jan. Humidity is high.
