SINGAPORE TRANSIT VISAS:

Nationals of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan may use a Visa Free Transit Facility which allows them to visit Singapore for 96 hours. Nationals of China and India can also transit, one time only, for up to 96 hours without a visa under the Visa Free Transit Facility (VFTF) on either the outbound or return leg of the same journey. Transit passengers holding two separate tickets can transit without a visa, except when arriving or departing on a budget carrier. Nationals of the following countries or nationals arriving from the following countries require an International Certificate of Vaccination in order to enter Singapore. The vaccination for yellow fever is considered valid 10 days after vaccination. The certificate is for a period of 10 years. Failure to fulfil this requirement could result in refusal of entry into Singapore: Angola, Argentina, Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Colombia, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, French Guiana, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Suriname, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda and Venezuela.

SINGAPORE HEALTH:

Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas. Certificates of vaccination are required from travellers over 1 year of age who, within the preceding 6 days, have been in or have passed through any country partly or wholly endemic for yellow fever. The countries & areas included in the endemic zones are considered as infected areas.

Recommended immunisations: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B & TB.

Hints in Singapore: The business community generally speaks English. There are many laws governing personal behaviour and on-the-spot fines can be imposed for offences. Smoking is banned in the majority of air-conditioned premises, public buildings and restaurants and also at bus stops. On social occasions be punctual and dress as for business meetings unless otherwise indicated
Tipping in Singapore: A service charge is included in restaurants. Tips are officially discouraged
