POLAND TRANSIT VISAS:

Not required by anyone exempt from a visa listed above and those holding onward tickets and transiting within 24 hours (applicable only to nationals of: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, D R of Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia & Sri Lanka if holding a valid visa issued by Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Ireland (Rep. of), Japan, Liechtenstein, Romania, USA or UK, travelling to any non-Schengen Member State or if holding a residence Permit issued by Andorra, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Ireland (Rep of) Japan, San Marino, US & UK providing guaranteeing the holder's unconditional readmission.

POLAND HEALTH:

Participants of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC scheme) which allows visitors on short-term stays to other member countries to use the public health care sector for free or reduced-cost medical treatment and emergency care.

There are currently no compulsory vaccinations required.

Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, TB, Tetanus, Tick-Borne Encephalitis & Typhoid.

Risks: Rabies.

POLAND WEATHER:

Winters are cold with a decrease in temperature towards the east and in the southern mountains. The coastlands on the Baltic Sea are slightly milder with cooler summers. Rainfall is spread throughout the year although summer is marginally wetter. Snow is common in winter
