NICARAGUA TRANSIT VISAS:

Required by all except those continuing their journey to a third country by the same or first connecting aircraft within 24 hours provided holding confirmed onward tickets and do not leave the airport (Not applicable to nationals of: Afghanistan, Albania, Armenia, Bangladesh, Bosnia Herzegovina, Botswana, China Rep Congo, Congo Rep, Eritrea, Iraq, Lao, Lebanon, Liberia, Mali, Macao, Mongolia, Nepal, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Timor Leste, Vietnam, Yemen)

NICARAGUA HEALTH:

Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas. Infants under 1 year are exempt.

Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, hepatitis B, Malaria, TB, tetanus & Typhoid.

Risks: Malaria risk is high all year, the highest risk municipalities being Chinandega, Jinotega, Nueva Segovia, RAAN, RAAS & Rio San Juan; the risk is low or negligible in the departments of Madriz, Carazo & Masaya. Rabies.
