NEW ZEALAND TRANSIT VISAS:

Required by all except those persons as mentioned above & those continuing their journey to a third country by the same or first connecting aircraft on the same day without leaving the airport, provided holding confirmed onward tickets & documentation for their onward journey to nationals of: Bahamas, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Indonesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau Islands, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Thailand, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu & Venezuela

Those persons continuing their journey to Australia as an immediate or final stop on the same day without leaving the airport, provided holding confirmed onward tickets & documentation for their onward journey will also be exempt from transit visas.

NEW ZEALAND HEALTH:

A reciprocal health agreement for medical treatment exists with the United Kingdom. In order to obtain treatment some proof of United Kingdom residence such as a UK passport will be required. 

There are currently no compulsory vaccinations required.

Recommended immunisations: Hepatitis B.

NEW ZEALAND WEATHER:

The far north of North Island has mild winters and warm summers. The rest of the island is slightly cooler. South Island has somewhat lower temperatures throughout the year and is therefore more temperate. The New Zealand Alps are covered in snow throughout the year

Hints in New Zealand: Business is conducted in English, not many executives speak a second language. Smoking is no longer permitted in any public place. On social occasions be punctual and dress as for business meetings unless otherwise indicated. The minimum drinking age is 18 years
Tipping in New Zealand: Service charges are not applied, tips are not necessary
Import Allowances in New Zealand: For persons of 17 years of age or older:
200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250gr of tobacco or a combination of these products up to a max weight of 250gr

Goods up to a total combined value of NZD 700
Prohibited/Restricted in New Zealand: Drugs or narcotics. Foods, plants (or parts of plants alive or dead), animals (alive or dead) or their products & biological specimens. Equipment used with animals, camping equipment, golf clubs and used bicycles needs to be declared for Agricultural purposes. Firearms and weapons are strictly controlled and require a Police permit. Weapons such as flick knives, swordsticks and knuckledusters are prohibited. Objectionable publications, videos, CDs etc. Products covered by the CITES agreement for endangered, threatened, or exploited species
