THE EMBASSY RUN AN APPOINTMENT SYSTEM DURING THE ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS AND WE CAN ATTEND ONLY ON THE APPOINTMENT DATE GIVEN. WHILST WE ALWAYS BOOK THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE DATE AVAILABLE, IN BUSY SEASONS THERE MAY BE A DELAY OF 1-2 WEEKS BETWEEN US RECEIVING YOUR DOCUMENTS AND THE APPOINTMENT DATE. THE EMBASSY PROCESS BEGINS ONLY AFTER THE DOCUMENTS ARE SUBMITTED - PLEASE ENSURE YOU ALLOW ENOUGH TIME FOR YOUR VISA TO BE ISSUED. APPOINTMENTS WILL ONLY BE BOOKED FOR THOSE THAT WE HOLD ALL DOCUMENTS FOR. 5 year visas cannot be applied for through an agerncy as fingerprints are required.

Evisas are valid for a maximum of 2 entries for up to 60 days. E visas are only available to those arriving from; 24 designated Airports (i.e. Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Chandigarh,Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gaya, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum & Varanasi) and 3 designated seaports (i.e. Cochin, Goa, Mangalore). However, the foreigner can take exit from any of the authorized Immigration Check Posts (ICPs) in India.

INDIA TRANSIT VISAS:

Transit visas are required by all except those as noted above and those continuing their journey to a third country within 24 hours by the same form of transport & not leaving an airport, provided holding confirmed tickets & documentation

INDIA HEALTH:

Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving within 6 days from an infected area or have been in transit in an infected area (except those who while in transit through an airport in an infected area, remained within the airport during the period of their entire stay) or has come on a ship that started or disembarked at any port in an infected area up to 30 days before arrival in India (unless it has been disinsected) or has come on an aircraft which has been in an infected area and has not been disinsected. Infants under 6 months are exempt. When a case of yellow fever is reported from any country, that country is regarded as infected.

Recommended immunisations: Cholera, Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Japanese B Encephalitis, Malaria, Meningitis, Polio, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.

Risks: Malaria exists all year below 2,000 metres except in parts of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Kashmir and Sikkim. Rabies.

Hot tropical weather with considerable regional variations. The climate is dominated by the Asiatic monsoon. From Jun-Sep the country is influenced by the rainy monsoon from the south west. At this time rainfall can be very heavy, particularly over the higher regions facing the sea. The coolest time with the driest weather is between Dec-Feb. The weather gets hotter from Mar-May with a continuing drought. The rains tend to start in late May in the south, arriving up to 6 weeks later in the north
