Visas will be issued at the point of entry for tourist visas up to 3 months to nationals of Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Grenada, Ireland Rep, Italy, Jamaica, Maldives, Malta, Netherlands, Oman, Portugal, St. Lucia, Slovenia, Spain, United Kingdom & United States, for stays up to 2 months to nationals of Albania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Russia & Ukraine, for tourist visas up to 1 month to nationals of Armenia (USD 50 per day of stay required for entry), Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Estonia, Haiti, Hungary, Jordan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova (USD 50 per day of stay required for entry), Norway, Poland, St. Kitts, St. Vincent, Serbia, Slovakia, Tajikistan & Turkmenistan. Nationals of United Kingdom & Ireland Republic may pay visa fees in GBP. All other nationals should pay in USD or EUR.
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except persons continuing their journey to a third country by the same or first connecting flight, providing they hold confirmed onward tickets and do not leave the airport.
HEALTH: There are currently no compulsory vaccinations required.
Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Malaria, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.
Risks: Malaria exists from Mar-Nov mainly in the south eastern part of the country and in Cukurova & Amikova Plain. There is no risk in main tourist areas in the west & south west. Rabies.
WEATHER: The interior of the country has low rainfall but very cold winters & hot summers. Winter rainfall usually falls as snow especially towards the east where it may lie for three or four months. The coastal areas have milder winters with warm summers. The Black Sea coast is a little colder in winter than on the southern and western coasts and has some rain throughout the year. Summers are warm and humid. The Aegean and Mediterranean coasts have hot, dry summers and a midwinter rainy season.
