Nationals of Australia & South Africa can obtain a visa on arrival.
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey by the same or first connecting aircraft within 48 hours provided holding confirmed tickets and documents (except nationals of China, Lebanon & Syria who must continue their journey within 24 hours).
All visitors must hold onward/return tickets & documents required for next destination.
HEALTH: Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas. Infants under 1 year are exempt.
Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Polio, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.
Risks: Rabies.
WEATHER: Coastal areas have hot, dry summers and mild winters with most rainfall between Oct-Mar. Central areas and the southern hills have hotter summers than the coast and quite low winter temperatures with occasional frosts. Rainfall decreases in the south & temperatures can become very high inland during summer due to its near Saharan climate.
