VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa: Suriname, Grenada, holders of Netherlands passports issued to persons resident in Netherlands Antilles, for stays of up to 120 days to Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Brazil (for tourist visits only), Chile, Dominica, Gambia, Guyana, Hong Kong, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Korea (South), Philippines, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Singapore, Switzerland & Trinidad & Tobago, for stays up to 90 days to Bahamas, for stays up to 30 days to Malaysia , holders of a re-entry permit & holders of a residence permit (`vestigingsvergunning').
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey to another country by the same or first connecting aircraft.
All visitors must hold onward/return tickets.
HEALTH: Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas.
Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Malaria, TB, Tetanus, Typhoid & Yellow Fever.
Risks: Malaria risk is high all year in southern districts. In Paramaribo City and coastal areas risk is little or none. Rabies.
WEATHER: There are two rain seasons, the main one is from Apr-Jul and the weaker one is between Dec-Jan. Humidity is high
