VISAS: Visas are required by all nationals except holders of Sudanese passports .
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except persons continuing their journey to another country by the same or first connecting aircraft within 24 hours provided holding confirmed tickets and documents for their onward journey.
HEALTH: Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas. Infants under 1 year are exempt. The countries & areas included in the endemic zones are considered as infected areas. A certificate may be required from travellers leaving Sudan.
Recommended immunisations: Cholera, Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Malaria, Meningitis, Polio, TB, Tetanus, Typhoid & Yellow Fever.
Risks: Malaria exists all year throughout the country. Risk is low and seasonal in the north. It is higher along the Nile south of Lake Nasser and in central & southern parts of the country. Risk on the Red Sea coast is very limited. Rabies.
WEATHER: In the north rainfall is rare, daytime temperatures are very high and cooler winter months have nightly temperatures low enough for occasional frost. The rainy season is between Apr-Oct although in the far south some rain may occur in any month. However, during this period, the weather may remain dry and sunny and the wettest areas may only have one out of three rainy days.
