VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa: citizens of the Solomon Islands, for stays of up to 3 months to holders of Visitor's Permits, issued on arrival, to British subjects being `Citizen of the United Kingdom & Colonies' & British Protected Person, Andorra, Antigua & Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Belize, Brazil, Brunei & Darussalam, Canada, Chile, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Grenada, Guyana, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland Republic, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Monaco, Nauru, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norfolk Islands, Norway, Palau Islands, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Samoa, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, United States, Uruguay & Vanuatu.
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey to another country within 7 days provided holding confirmed onward tickets (except nationals of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Cuba, Czech Rep, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Korea (North), Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Moldova, Mongolia, Romania, Russia, Serbia & Montenegro, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan & Vietnam).
All visitors must hold confirmed onward/return tickets, documents for next destination & sufficient funds for length of stay.
HEALTH: Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas.
Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Malaria, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.
Risks: Malaria exists all year, excluding some eastern and southern outlying islets.
WEATHER: Well distributed rainfall throughout the year although there is a slightly rainier season between Nov-Apr. Temperatures average 29°C but are tempered by sea breezes and fresh winds.
