VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa: Sierra Leone, Guinea & Liberia, for stays of up to 90 days to Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Togo & holders of a re-entry permit. TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey to another country by the same aircraft provided they do not leave the airport. HEALTH: Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas. Recommended immunisations: Cholera, Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Malaria, Meningitis, Polio, TB, Tetanus, Typhoid & Yellow Fever. Risks: Malaria exists all year throughout the country. Rabies. WEATHER: The weather between Oct-Apr is dry with hot, sunny days. The rainy season is between May-Sep which reaches a peak in Jul-Aug & is wetter on the coast than inland. Temperatures are high all year on the coast rising even higher during the dry season inland. All passports must be valid for six months.
We advise that you obtain your visa before departure. The visa will take 10 working days in the embassy to issue.
