VISAS: Visas are required by all nationals except for holders of diplomatic passports of the following countries will not need a visa to enter Russia for 90 days: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Germany, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Sweden, Estonia.
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except persons remaining in the transit zone of Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport with an onward or connecting flight within 24 hours of arrival.
Notes: Transit visas are required while travelling through Russia to Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine & Uzbekistan. Transit visas are valid for maximum of 3 days.
HEALTH: A reciprocal health agreement for medical treatment exists with the United Kingdom. In order to obtain treatment some proof of United Kingdom residence such as a UK passport will be required.
There are currently no compulsory vaccinations required.
Recommended immunisations: Cholera (Asian and Far Eastern regions), Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Japanese B Encephalitis, Meningitis, TB, Tetanus, Tick-Borne Encephalitis & Typhoid.
Risks: Rabies.
WEATHER: Winter is cold with heavy snowfall. Snow thaws between Mar/Apr and so can be quite wet. Summer is very similar to British summer in northern regions and more like the Mediterranean in southern regions. Autumn is much shorter than in Britain as winter bringing snow starts in late Oct/Nov. Southern regions are generally warmer.

All passports must be valid for six months.

TOURIST VISAS The visa will take 1-8 working days to issue in the embassy depending on the service you choose to take & is valid for a restricted period only.
YOU WILL NEED:

Non UK nationals will also need a copy of their travel insurance & a bank statement or utility bill.

- For all types of visa (including multiple entry) in standard processing time £30.00 + VFS fee £25.30 + service £40.00 + return postage £7.00 = £102.30
- For all types of visa (including multiple entry) for urgent processing £60.00 + VFS fee £32.20 + service £65.00 + return postage £7.00 = £164.20
Holders of diplomatic passports of the above mentioned countries will not need a visa to enter Russia for 90 days.

For all other nationals the visa fees are:
Single entry tourist visa £50.00 + VFS fee £25.30 + service £40.00 + return postage £7.00 = £122.30
Double entry tourist visa £65.00 + VFS fee £25.30 + service £40.00 + return postage £7.00 = £137.30

Single entry business visa £100.00 + VFS fee £25.30 + service £40.00 + return postage £7.00 = £172.30
Double entry business visa £130.00 + VFS fee £25.30 + service £40.00 + return postage £7.00 = £202.30
12 month Multiple entry business visa £200.00 + VFS fee £25.30 + service £40.00 + return postage £7.00 = £272.30
24 hour express single entry business visa £200.00 + VFS fee £32.20 + service £65.00 + return postage £7.00 = £304.20
24 hour express double entry business visa £250.00 + VFS fee £32.20 + service £65.00 + return postage £7.00 = £354.20
24 hour express multiple entry business visa £300.00 + VFS fee £32.20 + service £65.00 + return postage £7.00 = £404.20
