Visas for Namibia

VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa: Namibia, for stays of up to 3 months to United Kingdom, for tourist visits only to Angola, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Botswana, Brazil, Canada, Cuba, Denmark, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Hong Kong (S.A.R. passports only), Iceland, Ireland Rep, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Lesotho, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau (S.A.R. passports only), Malawi, Malaysia, Moldova, Mozambique, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Swaziland, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United States, Uzbekistan, Zambia & Zimbabwe.
HEALTH: Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas. The countries or parts of countries in the endemic zones in Africa and South America are considered to be infected. Travellers on scheduled flights originating outside infected areas, but who have transited infected areas and remained within the airport or adjacent town are exempt. However travellers whose flights originated in infected areas or who have been in transit on unscheduled flights require a certificate. A certificate is not required for infants under 1 year but they may be subject to surveillance.
Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Malaria, Meningitis, Polio, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.
Risks: Malaria exists from Nov-May/Jun in the northern regions and in Omaheke & Otjozondjupa and throughout the year along the Kavango & Kunene rivers. Rabies.
WEATHER: Hot days and cool nights. Temperatures in midsummer are extremely high whilst during the winter the days are fairly warm, although there is often a drop to below freezing point at dawn. Over the Central Plateau temperatures are slightly lower than inland & along the coast the cold Benguela current moderates the heat but causes fog and occasional rain. The interior has two rainy seasons, one short between Oct-Dec, the other long between mid Jan-Apr with the rest of the year is dry and cloudless.
