VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa: Mozambique, for stays of up to 90 days to Malawi, & for stays of up to 30 days to Botswana, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania & Zambia.
HEALTH: Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas. Infants under 1 year are exempt.
Recommended immunisations: Cholera, Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Malaria, Meningitis, Polio, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.
Risks: Malaria exists all year throughout the country. Rabies.
WEATHER: The coastal lowlands are hot for most of the year and the interior plateaux and hills are warm even in the cooler season between Apr-Sep. There is a single rain season between Dec-Mar which is slightly longer in the north of the country. Temperatures on the coast and in some lowland areas can be rather oppressive due to the high humidity during the rain season.
