VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa: Malawi, British subjects being `Citizen of the United Kingdom & Colonies' & British Protected Person, Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belgium, Belize, Botswana, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Dominica, Fiji, Finland, France, Gambia, Germany, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Luxembourg, Madagascar, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nauru, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Papua New Guinea, Portugal, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Samoa, San Marino, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Swaziland, Sweden, Tanzania, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, Tuvalu, Uganda, United States, Vanuatu, Zambia & Zimbabwe.
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey to a third country by the same or first connecting aircraft within 24 hours, provided holding tickets & documentation for next destination (except nationals of Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Rep, Egypt, Georgia, Hungary, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Korea (North), Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Morocco, Oman, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia & Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam & Yemen). HEALTH: Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas.
Recommended immunisations: Cholera, Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Malaria, Meningitis, Polio, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.
Risks: Malaria exists all year throughout the country. Rabies.
WEATHER: Lower regions have high temperatures throughout the year with the rainy season between Nov-Mar. In the mountain areas conditions are cooler and more pleasant but rainfall is higher with the heaviest falls between Jan & Feb. Temperatures here during the dry season are surprisingly cold.
