HEALTH: There are currently no compulsory vaccinations required.
Recommended immunisations: Cholera, Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Malaria, Polio, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.
Risks: Malaria exists all year throughout the country especially in coastal areas. Rabies.
WEATHER: Temperatures are governed by altitude. The lowlands are hot and humid especially during the rainy period. Rainfall is highest on the east coast and decreases on the interior plateau and in the west and south. The south experiences a rainy season between Dec-Mar, the central plateau between Nov-Mar & the east coast is wet for much of the year. Torrential rain and high winds due to tropical cyclones can affect the island several times a year.
