VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa: Macedonia, for stays of up to 3 months to citizens of United Kingdom, Argentina, Austria, Barbados, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Vatican City, United States, for stays up to 90 days by nationals of Botswana, Bulgaria, Cuba, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Ireland Republic, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Monaco, Peru, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia, for stays of up to 60 days to citizens of Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey & for stays up to 1 month to citizens of Malaysia.
Visas are by personal application by appointment only.
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above.
HEALTH: A reciprocal health agreement for medical treatment exists with the United Kingdom. In order to obtain treatment some proof of United Kingdom residence such as a UK passport will be required.
There are currently no compulsory vaccinations required.
Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, TB, Tetanus, Tick-Borne Encephalitis & Typhoid.
WEATHER: The Eastern region and lower course of the River Vardar have warm summers and mild winters. Western and Northern regions have a temperate continental climate with more marked seasonal extremes.
