VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa: holders of Lithuanian passports, holders of full British passports, holders of passports issued by Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Rep, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong (S.A.R. passport holders), Hungary, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macao (S.A.R. passport holders), Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City & Venezuela.
HEALTH: Participants of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC scheme) which allows visitors on short-term stays to other member countries to use the public health care sector for free or reduced-cost medical treatment and emergency care.
There are currently no compulsory vaccinations required.
Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, TB, Tetanus, Tick-Borne Encephalitis & typhoid.
Risks: Rabies.
WEATHER: The mean annual temperature is 7.5°C, the average in Jan being -2.8°C and in Jul 20.5°C. The mean annual precipitation varies from 540mm (Middle Lowland) to 930mm (south west of the Zemaiciu upland).
