VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa: Liberia, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo & holders of a re-entry permit.
Visitors wishing to stay for more than the validity of their visa must report to the Immigration Office, Broad Street, Monrovia, for an extension.
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey to a third country, via Roberts International Airport, Monrovia within 48 hours, provided holding confirmed tickets & documents for the next destination.
HEALTH: Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate required by all. Infants under 1 year are exempt.
Recommended immunisations: Cholera, Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Meningitis, Polio, TB, Tetanus, Typhoid & Yellow Fever.
Risks: Malaria exists all year throughout the country. Rabies.
WEATHER: The rainy season is between May-Oct with the most rainfall between Jun-Jul. The dry Harmattan wind between Dec-Mar makes the coastal belt particularly arid. From Nov-Mar the weather is dry and sunny. Temperatures are high all year.
