VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa: Lebanon, for stays of up to 3 months to Syria (holding valid ID cards and provided coming directly from Syria otherwise holding a valid passport) & foreign nationals of Lebanese descent (provided holding a valid Lebanese ID card or Lebanese Civil Extract).
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those continuing their journey to a third country on the same day, provided holding confirmed onward tickets & documents for next destination.
There is no hotel accommodation at Beirut Airport & passengers are not permitted to stay overnight at the airport.
HEALTH: Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas.
Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Polio, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.
Risks: Rabies.
WEATHER: On the coast summers are hot with a rather high humidity. Winters are mild although rainfall can be heavy. Inland is drier & mountain summers are fresh and cool. Snow can be found on higher peaks between late Dec-Apr .
