VISAS: Visas are required by all nationals however visas may be issued on arrival (check details with nearest embassy/consulate prior to departure).
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey by the same aircraft or transferring to another aircraft at Wattay International Airport Vientiane without leaving the airport, provided holding confirmed tickets & documents for their next destination.
HEALTH: Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas.
Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Japanese B Encephalitis, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.
Risks: Malaria exists all year throughout the country except in Vientiane. Rabies.
WEATHER: The rainy season is between May-Sep or Oct and the remainder of the year is dry & sunny. Temperatures are high but in the northern mountains it is cooler.
