VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa: Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan ,for stays up to 3 months to Mongolia, Ukraine & for stays up to 1 month to Turkey.
The issuance of tourist visas is based on the invitations of Kazakhstan licensed tourist companies authorised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, except to citizens of the following countries who do not require a letter of invitation: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom & United States.
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all.
HEALTH: A reciprocal health agreement for medical treatment exists with the United Kingdom. In order to obtain treatment some proof of United Kingdom residence such as a UK passport will be required.
Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas.
Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, TB, Tetanus, Tick-Borne Encephalitis & Ttyphoid.
Risks: Rabies.
WEATHER: Kazakhstan has some of the highest peaks but is a dry region. Temperatures range from -20°C in winter to 35°C in summer differing slightly upon the region.
