Visas for Iceland

VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa:Iceland, for stays up to 3 months to holders of British passports , citizens of Andorra, Anguilla, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bermuda, Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Brunei Darassalam, Bulgaria, Canada, Cayman Islands, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Rep, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Falkland Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong (S.A.R. passports only), Hungary, Ireland Rep, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macao (S.A.R. passports only), Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Montserrat, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turks & Caicos Islands, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City & Venezuela.
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey to a third country on the same day by the same or first connecting aircraft without leaving the transit area, provided holding confirmed onward tickets & documentation for their onward travel, arriving & departing from/to non-Schengen countries (except nationals of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Congo Dem Rep, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia & Sri Lanka, however transit visa is not required if holding a residence permit for Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland Rep, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden or United Kingdom or permanent residence permit for Andorra, Canada, Japan, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland or United States).
All visitors must hold onward/return tickets, documents required for next destination & sufficient funds for length of stay.
Members of the Schengen Visa Agreement should make enquiries prior to travel with the appropriate Embassies of the countries within the agreement which they plan to visit.
HEALTH: Participants of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC scheme) which allows visitors on short-term stays to other member countries to use the public health care sector for free or reduced-cost medical treatment and emergency care.
There are currently no compulsory vaccinations required.
Recommended immunisations: Tetanus & Polio.
WEATHER: Summers are cool and cloudy with short periods of fine weather. Winter temperatures at sea level are unexpectedly mild however much rain falls as snow, and mountain peaks stay snow covered throughout the year. Autumn and winter are the wettest seasons.
