VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa: Hungary, holders of British national passports stating holder as "British Citizen" or endorsed "Holder has the right to abode in the United Kingdom" or "Holder is entitled to re-admission in the United Kingdom", Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Rep, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Hong Kong (S.A.R. passport holders), Honduras, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macao (S.A.R. passport holders), Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City & Venezuela (tourists only).
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey to a third country by the same or first connecting aircraft on the same day without leaving the airport, provided holding confirmed onward tickets & documentation for their onward journey (except nationals of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Congo, Congo Dem Rep, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Liberia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan & Syria, unless they are destined for Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland or United Kingdom & holding a valid visa issued by the authorities of the country of destination & when their visa expires, return to the country of origin or the country whose national they are, or they hold a valid permit of residence issued by Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States).
HEALTH: Participants of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC scheme) which allows visitors on short-term stays to other member countries to use the public health care sector for free or reduced-cost medical treatment and emergency care.
There are currently no compulsory vaccinations required.
Recommended immunisations: Tick-Borne Encephalitis.
WEATHER: Summers are warm to hot. Spring and early summer are the wettest seasons with heavy thundery downpours. Winters are usually cold and fog is frequent in more settled weather. Spring and autumn are fairly short seasons where the weather can be very changeable.
