Residents of Mainland China, overseas Chinese & Chinese residents in Taiwan should check details with nearest Immigration Office
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and nationals of visa-exempt countries who may transit without onward tickets provided they are continuing their journey to China or Macao. Holders of Chinese passports & People's Republic of China (PRC) passports who are in transit through Hong Kong to and from another country or territory should check details with nearest Immigration Office.
A visa is always required for nationals of Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Congo, Congo Dem. Rep., Cote d'Ivoire, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iraq, Liberia, Nepal, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Somalia & Sri Lanka including those who are in transit & remain airside.
All visitors must hold onward/return tickets, documents required for next destination & sufficient funds for length of stay.
HEALTH: There are currently no compulsory vaccinations required.
Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Malaria, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.
WEATHER: Sub-tropical climate with heavy rainfall between early May-late Sep, with light rainfall in all other months. Autumn and winter between Oct-Mar is cool and dry. Humidity is high during the hot, wet summer which can be oppressive and typhoons can cause problems between Jul-Sep.
