VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa: Honduras, citizens of United Kingdom, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Denmark, El Salvador, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Portugal, Puerto Rico, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City, for stays of up to 90 days to Andorra, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Israel, Korea (South), Macedonia, Madagascar, Marshall Islands, Monaco, San Marino, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Sao Tome & Principe, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Trinidad & Tobago, Tuvalu & Vanuatu.
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey within 8 hours provided holding tickets and documents for their onward journey.
HEALTH: Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas.
Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Malaria, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.
Risks: Malaria risk is high & widespread all year. Risk is highest in Sanitary Region VI, including in the Islas de la Bahia. Risk is low in Tegucigalpa & San Pedro Sula. Rabies.
WEATHER: Mountainous regions have a wide range of daily temperatures and are generally cooler than those of low-lying areas. Most rain falls in winter between May-Oct, with the Caribbean coast the most humid area.
