VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa: Haiti, returning alien residents holding a `Permis de Retour' & nationals on tourist visits up to 90 days (except nationals of China, Colombia, Dominican Rep & Panama).
TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey to a third country by the same or first connecting aircraft on the same day without leaving the airport, provided holding confirmed tickets & documentation for their onward journey.
All visitors must hold onward/return tickets & documents required for next destination outside Haiti (except visitors of Haitian origin holding foreign passports) & departing nationals of Haiti must hold a return ticket.
HEALTH: Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas.  Infants under 1 year. Are exempt.
Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Malaria, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.
Risks: Malaria exists all year in forested areas of Gros Morne, Hinche, Maissade, Chantal & Jacmel. Rabies
WEATHER: Wet period between Apr-Oct. Winters are warm and sunny and summers hot. Rainfall is governed by local relief although the north coast tends to be wetter than the south.
