NIGER TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and those continuing their journey to a third country by the same or first connecting aircraft within 24 hours without leaving the airport
NIGER HEALTH: Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate required by all. Infants under 1 year are exempt.
Recommended immunisations: Cholera, Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Malaria, Meningitis, TB, Tetanus, Typhoid & Yellow Fever.
Risks: Malaria exists all year throughout the country. Rabies.

Hints in Niger: Women should dress conventionally. A headscarf is useful. Business is conducted in French. Hardly any executives speak English. It is the convention to use the right and not the left hand when shaking hands and passing or receiving anything. Visits during Ramadan should be avoided. Apart from some restrictions, alcohol is generally available. It is forbidden to photograph the airport, military and other public buildings. It is also forbidden to photograph people in their daily lives without their consent
Tipping in Niger: A service charge is normally added to bills in hotels & restaurants, additional tips of around 10% are expected
