For an unrestricted length of stay to: Holders of passports issued by Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland & holders of British passports endorsed British Citizen
For stays up to 90 days to nationals of: Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong (S.A.R. citizens only), Israel, Japan, Korea (South), Macao (S.A.R. citizens only), Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, San Marino, Seychelles, Singapore, St Kitts-Nevis, Uruguay, United States, Vatican City, Venezuela & holders of British passports endorsed British National (Overseas) or British Overseas Territories Citizen with the ‘right of abode’ label issued by the UK
ROMANIA TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey while waiting at the airport for their connecting flights in the waiting hall & not crossing the border (except nationals of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Congo Dem Rep, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia & Sri Lanka, who require a transit visa at all times)
ROMANIA HEALTH: A reciprocal health agreement for medical treatment exists with the United Kingdom. In order to obtain treatment some proof of United Kingdom residence such as a UK passport will be required.
There are currently no compulsory vaccinations required.
Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, TB, Tetanus, Tick-Borne Encephalitis & Typhoid.
Risks: Rabies.
ROMANIA WEATHER: Warm summers and cold snowy winters. Rainfall is usually quite low except in the mountains with spring and summer being the wettest seasons
