VIETNAM visas take 5 working days to issue in the embassy. We recommend you send us your documents by Royal Mail Special Delivery. Please ensure you send us the following documentation as failure to do so will result in a delay in issuing your visa.

15 day single entry visas can only be applied for within 15 days of your date of entry (takes 2 days to issue). You must supply a copy of return/onward tickets and visas for onward travel where applicable. Anyone who cannot meet these requirements can apply for a 1 month single entry.

Validity of Vietnam visas are restricted to the time applied for on your application. Please be extremely careful when inserting dates ensuring that they are correct for your time of travel.

VIETNAM VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa: Vietnam, however Vietnamese nationals from overseas may only stay up to 90 days as long as they are in possession of a Vietnam Visa exemption certificate. Citizens of France holding Diplomatic or Official Passports are also entitled to travel within 90 days, and Diplomatic or Officials of Chile are entitled to travel within 60 days.
For stays of up to 30 days to nationals of: Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore & Thailand
For stays of up to 21 days to nationals of the Philippines.
For stays of up to 15 days to nationals of: Brunei Darussalam, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Korea (South), Norway, Russian Federation & Sweden.
VIETNAM TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those continuing their journey on the same day and provided holding confirmed return or onward tickets. Leaving the airport transit area is not allowed.
Certain international flights operated by Vietnam Airlines with final destinations of Hanoi (HAN) or Ho Chi Ming City (SGN) make an intermediate stop in Vietnam before arrival at the final destination, where it is required to clear customs and change aircraft. In these cases entry requirements into Vietnam will need to be observed at the intermediate stop

VIETNAM HEALTH: Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas.  Infants under 1 year are exempt.
Recommended immunisations: Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Japanese B Encephalitis, Malaria, TB, Tetanus & Typhoid.
Risks: Malaria exists throughout the country, excluding urban centres, the Red River delta and the coastal plain areas of central Vietnam. Risk is highest in highland areas below 1,500 metres south of 18°N, particularly in the provinces of Dak Lak, Gia Lai & Kon Tum, and southern provinces of Ca Mau, Bac Lieu & Tay Ninh. Rabies.
