PLEASE NOTE AFGHANISTAN VISAS ARE ONLY VALID FOR THREE MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF ISSUE WITH RESTRICTED STAYS OF ONE MONTH. FOR LONGER STAYS YOU MUST OBTAIN AUTHORISATION FROM THE FOREIGN MINISTRY IN KABUL ONCE YOUR VISA HAS BEEN ISSUED. YOU MUST EXIT AFGHANISTAN BEFORE THE EXPIRY DATE ON YOUR VISA.

AFGHANISTAN VISAS: This visa is required by all nationals.
AFGHANISTAN TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those continuing their journey to a third country within 2 hours by the same aircraft & not leaving the airport, provided holding confirmed onward travel reservations & valid documents for their onward journey (except holders of British Nationals Overseas or British Dependent Territories Citizen passports issued in Hong Kong)
AFGHANISTAN HEALTH: (Compulsory vaccinations:) Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas.
AFGHANISTAN WEATHER: Afghanistan is a mountainous country where the highest regions experience cold weather conditions throughout the year. Mountain summers tend to be warm & sunny whilst the winters are bitter. The heaviest rain falls in spring. On lower ground, summers are hot & dry. The heat is accompanied by dusty desert winds. Winters are harsh with considerable rainfall from Dec-Mar.
