Travel Visa Information for BARBADOS

BARBADOS VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa:
Barbados.
For stays of up to 6 months to: holders of British passports (but you are normally only granted 28 days entry on arrival), Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Belgium, Belize, Botswana, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Dominica, Fiji, Finland, France, Gambia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Grenada, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Mali, Malta, Mauritania, Mauritius, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, St. Kitts-Nevis, St. Lucia, Saint Vincent & The Grenadines, San Marino, Samoa, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Swaziland, Sweden, Switzerland, Tanzania, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, Turks & Caicos Islands, Tuvalu, Uganda, United States, Vanuatu, Zambia & Zimbabwe.
For stays of up to 3 months by nationals of Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Guyana, Japan, Korea (Rep of) and Uruguay.
For stays of up to 30 days by nationals of Costa Rica
For stays of up to 28 days by nationals of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Rep, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Moldova, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovaka Rep, Slovenia, Suriname, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan & Venezuela.
For stays of up to 28 days for tourism by nationals of Cote d’Ivoire, Eritrea, Hong Kong (SAR China), Macao (SAR China), Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Niger, Palau Island and Timor Leste.
BARBADOS TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey to a third country within 24 hours, provided holding confirmed tickets & documentation (except nationals of Morocco, refugees & stateless persons) & persons continuing their journey on the same aircraft & not leaving the airport (except nationals of Morocco, refugees & stateless persons).All visitors must hold onward/return tickets & sufficient funds for length of stay.
BARBADOS HEALTH: A reciprocal health agreement for medical treatment and prescribed medicines for children and the elderly exists with the United Kingdom. In order to obtain treatment some proof of United Kingdom residence such as a NHS medical card or UK passport will be required. Further details are available from www.dh.gov.uk.
(Compulsory vaccinations:) Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas. It is also recommended that travellers making 3 or more visits per year, stays of more than 3 months in a rural area, high-risk occupational groups & backpackers staying more than 1 month also have up to date immunisations for Diphtheria, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, TB, tetanus & typhoid.
BARBADOS WEATHER: Barbados is the most easterly Windward Island. Temperatures are hot throughout the year although never unbearable & sea breezes help counterbalance the humidity. Rain falls throughout the year although the wettest months are Jun-Nov. Hurricanes can occur between Jul-Nov.
