All temporary visitors must hold USD 50 per day/per person, onward tickets and all other documents for their next destination.
BELIZE TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey to a third country by the same aircraft & not leaving the airport, provided holding confirmed tickets & documentation (except nationals of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine & Uzbekistan)
All visitors must hold onward/return tickets & sufficient funds for length of stay (visitors are required to hold specific amounts of currency per day of stay, contact nearest embassy/consulate for details).
BELIZE HEALTH: (Compulsory vaccinations:) Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas.It is also recommended that travellers making 3 or more visits per year, stays of more than 3 months in a rural area, high-risk occupational groups & backpackers staying more than 1 month have the following up to date immunisations: Diphtheria, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, malaria, TB, tetanus & typhoid. Malaria exists in all districts but varies within regions. Risk is highest in western and southern regions.
BELIZE WEATHER: Conditions are hot all year, although strong Caribbean winds can counterbalance the humidity on the coast. The wettest period between Jun-Dec often includes heavy downpours which can also be accompanied by tropical storms or hurricanes. There is a drier period between Jan-Apr & Aug but coastal areas are subject to rain at any time.
