Brunei Darussalam
For stays of up to 90 days to holders of United States passports
For stays of up to 30 days to: British nationals with the right of abode in United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Italy, Korea (South), Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, United Arab Emirates
For stays of up to 14 days to: Canada, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Liechtenstein, Maldives, Peru, Philippines, Switzerland, Thailand, Vietnam & holders of an APEC business card stating that it is valid for travel to Brunei.
The following REQUIRE a visa which may be purchased on arrival at Brunei Int. Airport:
For stays of up to 30 days to: Australia & Kuwait
For stays of up to 14 days to: Bahrain, China & Qatar.
Visitors must hold confirmed return or onward tickets, all documents required for their next destination and sufficient funds for their stay.
BRUNAI DARUSSALAM TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except persons continuing their journey to another country by the same or first connecting flight without leaving the airport, provided holding confirmed tickets & documentation for next destination. Travelers by air of any nationality with confirmed tickets to a third destination can obtain a transit visa for stays of less than 72 hours (except citizens of Isreal).
BRUNAI DARUSSALAM HEALTH: (Compulsory vaccinations:) Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas or have passed through partly or wholly endemic areas within the preceding 6 days. The countries & areas included in the endemic zones are considered as infected areas. It is also recommended that travellers making 3 or more visits per year, stays of more than 3 months in a rural area, high-risk occupational groups & backpackers staying more than 1 month have the following up to date immunisations: Diphtheria, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, Japanese B encephalitis, TB, tetanus & typhoid.
BRUNAI DARUSSALAM WEATHER: High temperatures, humidity & rainfall throughout the year, with particularly heavy rainfall between Nov-Mar.
