CYPRUS VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa:
Cyprus, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Slovaka Rep, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland & Holders of British passports with inscription British Citizen and/or European Union
For tourist stays of up to 90 days to: Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong (S.A.R. passport holders only), Israel, Japan, Korea (South), Macao (S.A.R. passport holders only), Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, San Marino, Singapore, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City, Venezuela & Holders of British passports endorsed British National (Overseas) or British Overseas Territories Citizen.
Visitors must hold confirmed return or onward tickets, all documents required for their next destination and sufficient funds for maintenance during their stay. Nationals of EEA member states and Switzerland are exempt.
CYPRUS TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey to a third country by the same or first connecting aircraft within 24 hours without leaving the airport, provided holding confirmed tickets & documentation (except nationals of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Congo Dem Rep, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Sri Lanka & Turkey).
CYPRUS HEALTH: Participants of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC scheme) which allows visitors on short-term stays to other member countries to use the public health care sector for free or reduced-cost medical treatment and emergency care.
There are currently no compulsory vaccinations required.
Recommended immunisations: Tetanus & Polio.
CYPRUS WEATHER: Summers are hot and dry with virtually no rainfall between mid May-mid Oct. Winter is generally mild except in the mountains where snow is quite frequent. Highest rainfalls are from Dec-Feb.
