Travel Visa Information for FINLAND

FINLAND VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa:
Finland, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland & holders of British passports endorsed British Citizen
For stays up to 90 days in a 6 month period to nationals of: Andorra, Antigua & Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong (S.A.R. passports), Israel, Japan, Korea (South), Macao (S.A.R. passports), Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, San Marino, Seychelles, Singapore, St. Kitts & Nevis, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City, Venezuela & holders of British passports endorsed British National (Overseas) or British Overseas Territories Citizen with the ‘right of abode’ label issued by the UK
FINLAND TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons continuing their journey to a third country within 24 hours without leaving the airport transit area, provided arriving & departing from/to a non-Schengen country & holding confirmed onward tickets & documentation (except nationals of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Congo Dem Rep, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia & Sri Lanka)
Transit without a visa is not available if any of the subsequent destinations or transit locations are a Schengen country requiring a visa. Therefore, as the passenger is entering the Schengen territory, which is a borderless territory, those nationals of countries requiring a visa for any Schengen state, which they are entering, require a visa at all times
FINLAND HEALTH: Participants of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC scheme) which allows visitors on short-term stays to other member countries to use the public health care sector for free or reduced-cost medical treatment and emergency care.
There are currently no compulsory vaccinations required.
Recommended immunisations: Tick-Borne Encephalitis.
FINLAND WEATHER: In the south and central areas summers are warm and light. Temperatures range between 16-24°C but can reach as high as 30°C. Light rainfall in summer which falls as snow in winter. In the north snow cover is between mid Oct-late Apr or mid May, however, temperatures during the summer can become as high as in the south.
