Travel Visa Information for GREECE

GREECE VISAS: The following nationals DO NOT require a visa:
Greece, Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland Rep, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden & Switzerland
For tourist stays up to 3 months to nationals of: Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong (S.A.R passports), Iceland, Israel, Japan, Korea (South), Liechtenstein, Macao (S.A.R. passports), Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, St. Kitts-Nevis, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City, Venezuela & Holders of British passports endorsed British Citizen, British National (Overseas) or British Overseas Territories Citizen (containing the ‘right of abode’ label issued by the UK)
British passport holders intending to stay longer than 3 months must apply for a residence permit to the appropriate office.
GREECE TRANSIT VISAS: Required by all except those as noted above and persons in transit by air who continue their journey within 4-5 hours and do not leave the airport or change terminals
GREECE HEALTH: Participants of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC scheme) which allows visitors on short-term stays to other member countries to use the public health care sector for free or reduced-cost medical treatment and emergency care.
Compulsory vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas.  Infants under 6 months are exempt.
Recommended immunisations: Tetanus & Polio. Long-term visitors should also consider hepatitis A.
GREECE WEATHER: Summers are hot with a distinct three month dry period. The wettest season is in winter when it is mild although cold spells can occur. Snow in winter in the mountain regions is frequent and not uncommon elsewhere although rare on the islands. Spring and autumn are short seasons with changeable weather
